Terms and Conditions for the UK, Republic of Ireland, Europe and the Rest of the World (except the USA)
Acceptance of Web Orders
Orders submitted through the website checkout and acknowledged by email are held on our system ready for acceptance when reviewed by our staff. We may need to make additional enquiries concerning requirements, delivery dates addresses or payment terms before orders that have been submitted are accepted as confirmed orders. Where payment by debit or credit card is requested, payment will be applied when the order is placed on our system.Auction Bids
Bids placed on the auction site are legally binding offers to purchase the product at the offer price of the bid. At the conclusion of the bidding period a contract is concluded between Hayes & Finch Limited and the winning bidder. A confirmation email will be sent expecting you to confirm payment details within 24 hours, and goods will be despatched when payment is confirmed.Methods of Payment
By Account
Existing account customers by 30 days net. If you wish to open an account please contact our sales staff at head office on 0845 450 5593.
By Debit or Credit Card
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Master Card and Switch. All credit and debit card details submitted on the web site are collected, validated and held on a secure server by Secure Hosting Limited. We charge your account when the order is placed on our system.
By Cheque
We accept cheques drawn on a building society or bank in the UK or Republic of Ireland
Directly into our bank account
Bank details will be issued upon request for this method of payment.
Pro Forma Invoice
For new customers or if requested as a preferred method of payment.
Delivery Charges
UK MainlandAll orders (excluding furniture and chairs) over the value of 200 including vat will be packed and delivered free of charge with in UK mainland using standard 48 hour carrier. For orders under the value of 200 including vat, carriage charges will apply. Our standard carriage charge applies to single parcels that weigh less than 30kg, these goods will be sent by 48 hour carrier at a charge of £7.50 per parcel.
Our minimum postage charge is £2.50 and this will be applied to any items that are suitable in size and weight to be sent via post.
Large, bulky or heavy items would normally be despatched by our own delivery vans. Despatch dates would be dependent on stock availability and the scheduled delivery dates for a particular area. If goods are required for a certain date, please ensure that this is stated when placing the order. In the event that delivery is required before the normal scheduled delivery date, arrangements may be able to be made to despatch the goods by carrier, however this will incur additional carriage charges which will be quoted to the customer prior to despatch.
Delivery charges outside UK mainland
Please note that Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, The Channel Isles and the Highlands of Scotland may incur higher carriage charges due to their locations, confirmation of carriage charges should be requested prior to placing an order.
Next Day or Express Deliveries
Weight and size restrictions apply to this service. For stocked items that are of a suitable size and weight to be sent on a next day carrier service, a standard charge of £10 will apply.
Overseas Delivery
We recommend that customers who wish goods to be despatch overseas should request a quotation of carriage charges prior to confirmation of an order.
Pricing and Vat
All prices listed in the catalogue are shown in both Sterling and Euro.All prices are inclusive of vat where applicable. Euro prices include vat at the Republic of Ireland rate.
All prices are exclusive of carriage charges.
Insurance on renovation work in the UK
Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure the safe keeping of goods entrusted to us for renovation, it is recommended that the customers should take out an All Risks insurance policy covering valuable items which is effective during the transportation and renovation period.
Goods on approval
We do not encourage goods being sent on approval due to the large proportion of items returned marked or damaged. Any product can be viewed at one of our Branch offices by prior arrangement.
Returns
We are happy to replace or refund for stock items that are for any reason not required; provided they are unused and have not been damaged or marked. Unwanted goods must be returned within two weeks of delivery. We can not accept return of commissioned goods. Such orders will have been preceded with a written quotation that must be agreed prior to the order being accepted.Refurbishment Projects

Hayes & Finch Ltd. reserve the right to alter specification of designs without prior notification. All dimensions and sizes of designs featured are approximate. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, however once an order has been accepted, the price quoted at the time of ordering will remain static.Guarantees and Liabilities
Hayes & Finch Ltd. warrants that all goods featured in the catalogue will meet with their specification and be free from flaws in workmanship of material, subject to the following conditions: Hayes & Finch will not be liable,
- If the total invoiced amount for the goods has not been cleared by the due date
- In respect of failure to follow instructions, negligence or wilful damage
- Misuse or alteration.
Should goods be faulty Hayes & Finch Ltd will either replace the goods free of charge, rectify the fault, or by discretion refund the price of the goods, Hayes & Finch Ltd. shall then have no further liability.
Hayes & Finch Ltd. shall not be liable for any loss or damage whether direct or consequential or otherwise. In the event Hayes & Finchs liability if any shall be limited to the price of the goods.
Nothing in these terms affects Hayes & Finchs liability for death or personal injury resulting from Hayes & Finchs negligence.
Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
